Often, people ask us what we do with the money we raise and why we volunteer.

Here is just one very worthy example: -

Some of you may have heard of Roman Burchell, a 12-year-old boy from Jávea, Costa Blanca,  who has been bravely battling a very rare form of cancer since last year.

After a highly successful operation in which doctors were able to completely remove the tumour, Roman still needed a six-week course of daily proton therapy at a specialist hospital in Madrid.

Obviously, travelling back and forth each day simply wasn’t possible, so his family needed accommodation in the city.

This is where MABS Cancer Support Foundation stepped in.

As soon as we heard about Roman, we contacted his family and said, "MABS will take care of it."

We arranged and funded a two-bedroom apartment in central Madrid for €6,000, so that Roman and his mum, Martina, could focus entirely on what truly matters — his treatment and recovery.

We also made sure the apartment was large enough for his dad, Philip, and sister, Timea, to visit whenever possible.

Their gratitude was overwhelming. But for us, what mattered most was knowing we had helped ease some of the stress during such a difficult time.

And this is exactly why we do what we do.

Last year alone, as a group, we spent over €404,000 supporting 419 cancer patients,  providing help when it was needed most.

But we can’t do it alone — and this is where we need your help.
